Maxfield Parish: Bioz

Maxfield Parish

Maxfield Parish a high energy Party Band that hails from Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Has been reduced to its lowest common denominator...JC on Bass and Vocals. Every attempt is being made to rise back from the ashes. Stay tuned.

The group has performed both locally and regionally since 1996 with a few line-up changes. Clubs such as
J. Gilligan's, Fast Freddy's, Manhattan's, Stumpy's, Hot Rods & Hogs, High Port Marina, O'Riley's and too many others to mention.

Highlights for the band include opening for Bad Company, Rick Derringer and Pat Travers at the annual Hutchfest in Hutchinson, Kansas and a side stage appearance with Iron Maiden at Dallas' Smirnoff Music Complex.

Maxfield Parish's rockous live performances and full length CDs have recieved much critical acclaim. The Dallas, Texas Publication, Harder Beat, simply states; "Rip your heads off now!." Houston's Music News testifies: "these guys deliver." Buddy Magazine, an Arlington, Texas rag, describes them as: "Tight and Powerful." Also, radio DJs in Salina, Kansas, Shreveport, Louisiana and Dallas have given glowing comments about the band while interviewing them and spinning their tunes on the air.

At the moment, Maxfield Parish is self-managed and unsigned.

J.C. - Bass/ Vocals

J. C. Harmon is the founding member of Maxfield Parish and soul survivor of all the bands' previous incarnations, which go back some 15 years. Considered (by himself) to be the main "creative" force behind Maxfield, a lot of the riffs and lyrics you hear have come from his sick little head, but, of course those ideas were thrown into a churning vat of ideas and mixed with the help of his bandmates. As an artist, most all of the band's Cd covers and posters bare his design.

A veteran of just about every stage the D/FW area has to offer, he fills his days with the joy of paint contracting.

Other interesting facts on J. C., are he attended Texas A & M, where he marched in "The Fightin Teaxas Aggie Band" and he performs as the defacto band manager.

For the Anti-tech-heads out there, JC plays:
Cheap strings on a cheap guitar through a cheap amp with cheap speakers.
