Maxfield Parish: Newz

Horn Monger 2 - June 24, 2008

Maxfield Parish has dates booked at The Peppermill all the way through December of this year. In order not to cancell these dates and keep them ready for the grand return of MP, JC is booking other bands to play them until he get MP back together. Shit, Now i'm even confused. Oh well...

The 14th show at The Mill wnet bettere than expected. So...this Saturday, June 28th at The Mill should see one hell of a Horn Mongering time. The first band is an aucustic duo that desrbes themselves as drive by truckers, hmmm....interesting. the second band is a heavish alternative band with a lot of talent. The 3rd band is, no question, HEAVY, with interludes of solice.

Come check it out and vist with the familiar faces of Debbie, Chuck, Tammy and the Horn Monger himself, JC.

Horn Monger Show! - June 12, 2008

Jc has always threatened to form an "entertainment" company. Well, now, the horror is real. Your first chance to see him in action is This Sautrday, June 14 at the Peppermill. It was supposed to be a Max Parish gig, but, because there is no Max Parish right now, and, in order not to cancell the date, Jc booked this crazy show. There are two bands. One is heavy alternative and the other is metal country. Some of the old crew, Chuck, Tammy and Debbie will be helping with the fiasco. The live music will be over by 12:30 and the crew will settle down for a party with friends afterwards til the bar closes down. Come witness the dibotcherie and knock a few back with the crew.

Update 6-11-08 - June 11, 2008

JC has been hard at work putting the new line-up for Max Parish together. Several Guitarists and Drummers have tried for the spots. Some didn't try hard enough. Oh well... the ones that are sticking to the wall are:

Danny, drums. He is a good ol' boy with a knack for pounding out tunes he has never played before. You saw his mug on the splash page. He is over 6 foot tall, has long hair shaved on the sides and ain't as mean as he looks. He has a high scream that will have him tearing at your ear drums on stuff like Zeppelin and Quite Riot.

There is a guitarist that seems to want the job as well. His name is Robbie. At around 6 foot even, he would be the handsome one in the band. He looks kinda like a salt and pepper cross between George Lynch and the lead singer for Alabama. He is wicked good on the axx, has a voice as well and is a good ol' boy himself.

So, if this all works out, Max Parish will be back soon, playing a whole bunch of new tunes and with 3 lead singers. Cross your fingers.

All Points Bulliten - May 15, 2008

I, JC, am looking for new bandmates. Send any and all Guitarist, keyboardists, vocalists, bass players and drummers this way please. You can contact me at jc@maxparish.com.

Any age, sex or color is welcome.

Thanx
JC

Animal Exits Max Parish - May 12, 2008

Yes, it is a sad day in Max Land. Mark (Animal) Day has left the band. I, JC, will not go into detail on why for he can speak for himself. If you know him and have been to some of last few shows, you know why. If you don't know why, he will probably always have an email address on this site and you can ask him yourself. Plus send him messages of support. I can tell you it was nothing negative. It just had to happen. I love him, Vik, Taz and Mark...and yes...Johny too.

I have not talked to our soundman yet, Chuck, or his sister, Tammy, but Imay be on my own right now for the first time in 25 years, but, Maxfield Parish will live again. I also have a new venture in a Texas Honkey Tonk Rock band that you will all be hearing from soon.

So, Give Animal a hollar and show him some love...and stay tuned!

Whats going on? - April 21, 2008

As you all know, Vik had to call it quitys after a year or so in the band. Animal had took some time off for the birth of his baby boy. Now, we got this guy named Robert who may or may not be able to stay with us. That means we are still looking for a guitarist. Robert may decide to stay, or, we may find someone else. Any which way this works out, The Max Boys will deliver night filled with fun and we look forward to many more nights with our crazy ass friends.

Rock Again!!!! - April 9, 2008

Robert is still with us...uh...the New? guy. We have learned a lot of new songs so this weeks show at The Peppermill, Sat April 12, will be lots of fun. Be there!!!!!!!!

A New Axster? - March 25, 2008

Could be. Maxfield Parish will make its first appearance without the familar twangings of Vik on Guitar. Instead, there will be this dude named Robert slammin his six string around. So far, at a couple of rehearsals, Robert has shown some good stuff. The band takes him on his first trial run this Saturday night at The Peppermill. You know the drill, 9p-2a. In the past, most Max members have been hired due to the acceptance of our friends. Come check us and Robert out. Tell us what you think.

Vik Is gone and a new day Dawns! Out of the ashes if sadness, Maxfield Parish rears its ugly head...once again! Saturday, March 29th at, where else, THE PEPPERMILL from 9p -2a. Come meet our leading candidate for Axx Master and Chief...Robert Arroyo. Really, he's the only candidate and might win the all important Super Deligate count. But this is America damnit and your voice counts. So come check out the show and tell us what you think.

VIK SAYS GOODBYE - March 12, 2008

That dreaded date has come and it is Saturday March 15th. This will be Vik's last gig as a Maxfield Parish member. It is at The Roadhouse 5300 Mansfield Hwy in Fort Worth. It's a happening little place. Come see Vik.

May be the end for Vik! - January 31, 2008

Vik, our beloved guitarist may be stumming his last chords for Maxfield Parish this Friday, Feb 1 at The Roadhouse (5300 Mansfield Hwy 9p-2a). We are looking for a replacement but, Friday, its all about Vik. It could be history. BE THERE.

Vik's farewell Tour begins - January 16, 2008

Just like Kiss, who knows when this Farewell tour will end? But, Vik will be departing...sometime. Do not miss your chance to see him one last time. He will also be at out Feb 1 show at The Road House in Mansfield.

Sad News - January 6, 2008

Vik, our guitarist for the past year or so put the band on notice that he must leave the band. It is under totally cool circumstances and he will be at our next few gigs. As for why, we will let him speak for himself. We do not know exactly when his last gig will be so catch him while you can.
One thing we will say for him is, HE LOVES YOU ALL.
Sombodey have a tissue?

2007 - December 30, 2007

WOW!! What a year, huh?? The band has seen some pretty sky highs, some bottomed out lows, some pretty far ins and some pretty bad outs. And yet, we survive. The Maxfield Parish World Tour was a huge success!! We are completely exhausted, but we aren't slowing down!! Everyone needs to help us ring in the new year tomorrow night at where else, The Peppermill!! We do love playing there and we truely hope to see everyone there (except Sandra, she's working!! DAMN!!). Thanks to ALL of you for hangin with us all these years and lets make 2008 better than all of them combined!!

December Rox - November 28, 2007

The 3 Max-Dudes start the X-mas season off with a bang at The Peppermill this Saturday December 1st from 10p-2a. New material and the debute of Animal and his vocal prowess. Don't miss it!

World Tour: Part 4 - November 15, 2007

The Maxfield Parish World Tour continues into part 4!! Even with recent personnell changes we have not slowed down!! If you haven't seen us lately, you are missing out. New and good music abounds. Vik has pulled up his boot straps and stepped up to the mic for vocal duties and in the future you quite possibly might hear Animal do thet same. You might quite possibly leave the bar when he does to!! Anyway, make the trip out and check reality at the door cause we'll take you on a wild ride this Saturday at The Peppermill Lounge!!

We'd also like to congradulate Liz and Brad on their recent nuptials!! If you should see 'em, buy 'em a drink and give 'em a pat on the back.

Halloween double Shot - October 19, 2007

Sat. Oct. 20 and Sat. Oct 27.

2 damn scary nights.

The 20th finds us at one of the nation's premier haunted houses, Hangman's House of Horros. Its free to get in the park but costs if you want to have the holy crap scared out of you in one of their 5 houses. We play on the main outside stage from 7p-midnight. Its family friendly but there are a lot of scary goblins walking around.

The 27th is our official halloween party at the Peppermill. You know the drill. Prizes, food and fun.

Be there or we'll hunt you down and make you listen to Barry Manilow.

It Official!!! - October 10, 2007

Vik is back...well...he never left. He thought about it but we all realized it was not needed. However, Taz, our singer of 3 years is gone. We wish him the best.

The Fri. Oct. 12 show is most definately on! JC will will handle most of the vocal duties and the keyboards will be missed but it will still be one hell of a show.

Also official is the fact that we are looking for a new singer who can play an instrument. Keep your ears peeled for us!!

Hold your Horses Save a guitarist. - October 8, 2007

That's right, Vik May be returning to the band. Its along story and we do not want to go into it right now, but, we are actively seeking a new lead singer/guitarist. Stay tuned and NO GIGS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED.

Then there were 3 - October 4, 2007

Right now, the band is reeling from the sudden and unexpected departures of Vik and Taz. It can be chalked up to that most dreaded of all Rock-n-Roll monsters...MUSICAL DIFFERENCES. The good news is, we parted as friends.

For the time being, Animal, Chuck and JC are doing what they can. No gigs have been cancelled. There will be a search for replacements.

If you know anyone, throw them our way.
