Audition Updates - June 1, 2010
Rusty, Casey and JC are playing gigs but are looking for some supporting characters to build on the over all sound. Last Sunday eveneing, a guitarist and female singer/keyboardist came out to audition. Both showed promise and are being asked to come back for a second and longer look. The guitarist can play lead very well and that is what we are looking for. The female can Play the crap out of the keys, sings very well and has a lot of attitude, which could be the missing link we have been looking for since searching for a Max-Woman.
We will keep you posted and make plans on JUly 3rd, our first "real" gig back on the scene at a happenin' Road House in Burleson.
On the Up! - May 18, 2010
Casey, JC and Rusty made an appearnace at Ferocious Ambush Road House in Burleson last Sunday. It was open mic night and Max. P. took the opportunity as a chance to audition for the popular southern Tarrant County watering hole.
There was a nice stage, plenty of eating and drinking and several nice custom bikes in front of the F.A. Road House. Around 50 patrons, mostly biker types, were enjoying the house band when the guys got there. It wasn't long before the Maxsters were invited to take the stage and play a few songs, which, due to crowd reaction, turned into a whole 45 minute set. The owners were there and said they would like to do some booking. You can say the audition went well. When we get dates, we will let you know because it is a rockous place with plenty of atmosphere and fun.
Things are looking up. Rusty is back in the band for the time being (only able to play Saturdays and Sundays). In fact, there is a good chance that he will be our full time Sat. & Sun. ax-man for a while. Casey is handling more and more lead vocal duties on new material from Kings of Leon, Neil Young, The Chillie Peppers and more. We are searching for a lead guitarist and female singer/musican, however, it will not stop us from giging. Stay tuned for dates and newz!
Dio Passes! - May 17, 2010

If Heavy Metal had royalty, Dio would be King!
A friend of our was a friend of his. Yes, an average person like all of us struck up and accidental relationship with the legend 20 years ago. And, like a true king, Dio valued this freind, even though lesser legends would not have deemed a meer mortal worthy. This proves to us that Dio was rightfully known as "the nicest guy in metal".
Bang for ever our brother!!
Bang for ever!

lead guitar needed - April 19, 2010
Entertaining cover band, uh...that would be us, Maxfield Parish, seeks a lead guitarist that wants to have fun. We are not your ordinary cover band. We cover any and all genres. That could be modern rock, classic rock, metal, country, pop, etc, etc... If its dance able, we play it. Nothing gets played exactly like the CD and everything gets rocked up a bit. We put on a show and will do anything to catch the attention of the audience.
Vocal ability is a plus but no mandatory. Any age sex or color is welcome.
Must have a love for music because we are currently not in the “A” rooms. We are working our way up the food chain. Pay is meager right now but the good paying gigs are our goal. It will take hard work and commitment.
We have a fully equipped practice place in Haltom City with drum kit, bass and guitar rig and PA.
Respond for audition info or any questions you may have. Check song list tab to the left of this page for our current material.
Rock, country, alternative, pop, metal, disco....it's all good! But don't take our word for it....

Startin From Scratch...Kinda' - April 2, 2010
The last several months have not been kind to Maxfield Parish. The economy has cost us two guitarists. One female singer just magically disappeared and our latest guitarist was just not having fun.
So, it is up to JC and Casey, once again, to keep it alive. A last gig will be honored at Home Plate on Saturday April 17 with our old buddy, Rusty, on guitar. It will be fun as hell for you all know, when Rusty was a full time member, we would always have a blast - no matter what.
Max. P. Is currently looking for a full time guitarist. He/she will need to be at least of moderate caliber lead ability. Having a smile would be a big plus.
If you know of anybody who may want the job, please let us know.
Have no fear, Maxfield Parish will be back and soon.... and you will be the first to know about it..

Official New Line-UP - January 1, 2010
For now, chicks are out. We've gone through 3 in the last few months and all have had personalstuff come up to cause them to leave. But that's ok. Last night, NYE 2009, our new guitarist commited to the band. His name is Ryan and he promised us several months of his life to give this a fair run at the local music scene. So, off now, 3 piece it is. Me and Casey on bass, drums and vocals and Ryan on the Axx. We did really well last night at The Home Plate and were told we were the best band ever to play there by many regulars. Expect the gig to start coming more regular in the near future.

NYE Update - December 29, 2009
Ok...here is the whole story as of December 29, 2009. JC and Casey are the left over members of the last version of the band. They seem to be the ones that let nothing get in the way of their passion...or..at least lucky enought not to have anything too big get in the way. There is a new Guitarist, Ryan, who has been busting his ass of learning Max. P.'s stuff. He has also given some new song to the play list that JC and Casey have learned. Our last female vocalist has had some personal things come up that have sidelined her for a while. Show must go on, so, we have been working with a new girl, Theresa, who is not officially a memebr yet, but, will be out for the NYE party to give you what she has got. It will be your chance to let us know what you think of her. Home Plate really captures that Old Peppermill Feel. So for a taste of "back in the day", l;ets rock in the new year...ABSOLUTELY FREE.
NYE Gig - December 26, 2009
we picked up a short notice NYE gig at a quaint sports bar in west Ft Worth called Home Plate, 3137 Altamere near Ridgemar Mall. For all you long time friends of the band, it has that "Perppermill Feel" to it. JC and casey will be banging the bass, drums and vocals while we unvail our newest ax-man, Ryan. You will like him.
There is no cover and will be champaigne, favors and peas.
Lets rock it in right!
Last Minute Gig - November 10, 2009
Maxfield Parish will appear at Home Plate, 3137 Alta Mere Dr Ft Worth Tx, This Saturday Novembre 14. There will be two opening acts and then Max.P. will play from midnight to 2am. There is tons of parking and lots of seating. kinda has the ol' Peppermill feeling to it. Lets Party!!!
Hangman's Rocked - November 2, 2009
40 dergrees and rock still rolled at Hangman's House of Horros on that bewitching night...Halloween. The band stayed hot watching all the hot little guys and gouls walk by, (remember there is a girl in the band now so hot guys count too). JC's 5 month old grandson made an appearance as a pumpkin and Rusty's in-laws came out in force to watch his last Max. P. gig for a while. Speaking of Rusty, he wore a Jason constume. After the gig, the band signed it and gave it to the benefit orginizer. She loved it. Jc wore his traditional Viking outfit, Mel was a Dirt Biker and Casey had a crazy wig. There are no gigs on the books right now but stay tuned...they will come.
Stumpys Kicked Ass! - October 25, 2009
Max. P. didn't do too bad either. A packed Stumpy's house witnessed the return of Maxfield Parish to the local scene. The dance floor got shined up by many a boot and sneaker. Head banging, goat roping and disco teching...it was all good. Mel's first real gig where she was featured all night on lead and backing vocals seemed like she had done it before (she is a toughie). Ray...what can we say? His style was a tasteful shred and his energy extended from his guitar to the crowd. Rusty, JC and Casey breathed huge sighs of reliefe knowing that these two additons to the band were absolutely for the betterment of the band. bar personnel gave us promising feedback. Max ix back and don't miss it.
You say goodbye, I say hello.. - October 20, 2009
Yes, there will be some goodbyes and some hellos at these next two show. And how many times this writter rhyms...nobody knows. Oh...sorry....
Our guitarist for over a year, Rusty, has been hit by the economy and had to take on a night job to suppot his bun in the oven. The 24th gig at Stumpy's (read news below) and the 31st at Hamngman's House Of Horrors wil be the last for him. It will be sad but it must be.
Never fear, Rusty was cool enough to help find his own replacement and we are pleased to announce the newest Max-Axman in town, Ray.
Both guys will be part of these rare two guitar shows for Mafield Parsish. So come wish Rusty well and give Ray hell this Saturday at Stumpy's or next Saturday at Hangman's House of Horrors.
Jc can't get dates right!!! - October 18, 2009
Anyone who knows JC...knows he could not keep a calendar if his life depended on it. Guess what? His life does depend on it. He wrote that we were playing Stumpy's in Nov when he ment to say that we are playing in Oct. Oct 24. Next week. Next Saturday. Be there. read the next couple of news bitz for details.
2 weeks to go - October 14, 2009
Sat. Oct. 24 Stumpy's Blues Bar.
2811 W Division St
Arlington, TX 76011 (817) 274-0406
9pm - 2am
We have been practicing our asses off for the grand re-re-re-re-re-return of Max.P. And where better to start this new venture than an "A" room like Stumpy's Blues bar in Arlington - no pressure - just can't screw up - and if you know us - this may be worth watching. Hahahahahaha.
No, really, we are ready to get back and jam. We have added a lead guitarist named Ray. You gotta see him! Mel, our new femenine ass kicker will prove that she fits in this rough and tumble band. JC and Casey will be smiling so hard it hurts. Rusty will be playing one of his last gigs with us and will be making his farewells.
This aint your daddy's Maxfield Parish! Come check it out!
